Hot spot tracking

  • 1. The number of ADP jobs in the United States increased by 152,000 in May, the smallest increase since January this year. This is indirectly bullish for gold.
  • 2. The U.S. ISM non-manufacturing PMI in May was 53.8, the highest since August 2023. The business activity index recorded the largest increase in three years, which is directly beneficial to the U.S. dollar.
  • 3. The Bank of Canada cut interest rates for the first time in four years, becoming the first central bank in the G7 to do so. It also said there is reason to expect further rate cuts. If the rate cut is achieved, it will be bad for the Canadian dollar and good for the US dollar.

📝 Review:USD/JPY rebounded despite the decline in US Treasury yields. The yen is fundamentally weak due to the extremely dovish policy of the Bank of Japan, so traders used the recent pullback to add to their long positions in USD/JPY. If USD/JPY climbs above the 50 SMA at 156.67, it will move towards the key resistance at 158.00 - 158.50. If USD/JPY climbs to the 158.00 level, potential intervention by the Bank of Japan will be the main risk for bulls.

📝 Review:Gold prices rose more than 1% on Wednesday to close at $2,354.99 an ounce. The weaker-than-expected U.S. private employment data reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates later this year, and U.S. Treasury yields fell. In addition, the Bank of Canada cut interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday, and the market expects the European Central Bank to cut interest rates on Thursday. Global central banks seem to be ushering in a "rate cut trend." The lower opportunity cost of holding gold is expected to help gold prices open a new round of upward trend.

📝 Review:In the complex landscape of the global energy market, every fluctuation in crude oil prices affects investors' nerves. Recently, oil prices hovered near a four-month low in late Asian trading. The market is digesting OPEC+'s decision to increase supply later this year. At the same time, the increase in US crude oil and refined oil inventories also had an impact on oil prices.

📝 Review:Yesterday, BTC's high point was 70560.3 points, and it closed at 68595.5 points, with an amplitude of 2.82% and an increase of 1.21%. Yesterday's main trend was mainly upward. The closing price was on the 5-day line. In the medium and long term, the bulls are dominant. The current market will either break through 74,000 directly or reach the high point of the recent market. The profit and loss ratio of the bulls is very poor. Investors should be cautious in going long, and can lightly arrange short orders, mainly short-term.
